Stanley Yelnats, a boy who has bad luck due to a curse placed on his great- great-grandfather, is sent to Camp Green Lake, a juvenile detention camp, for a crime he did not commit. Stanley and the other boys at the camp are forced to dig large holes in the dirt every day.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Year 6. The class teacher is Mr Dempsey supported by Mrs Whaley and Mrs Davis.

We ask big questions like, 'What can be learned from a world of discovery?' and 'What does our planet need from us?'. Our classroom is a place where you can love your learning, whilst learning to love yourself and the world around you.
Autumn Term 2024
Would you like to know more about what we will be learning in the Autumn Term? Take a look at our overview. You will see what we will learn in each subject, as well as what we will be doing at the end to show what we have learned.
KIRF

KIRFs are the 'Key Instant Recall Facts' that children need to secure during their primary years. They include facts such as number bonds and times tables. They are particularly useful when calculating, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing but also underpin many other areas of mathematics.
You can find out more about our English learning below. We use colourful and engaging resources from Grammarsaurus to keep our writing curriculum fun! Our spelling overview is also available, to support learning of spellings and spelling rules at home.
