Policies and Key Information

Our policies and procedures set out the principles, expectations and arrangements that support the effective, safe and inclusive operation of our school. They reflect our statutory duties, our responsibilities as a maintained school and our commitment to providing a positive, supportive environment in which every child can learn, flourish and be kept safe.

Where required, policies are approved by the Governing Board and are reviewed in accordance with their individual review requirements.

Policies are made available to parents, staff and the wider school community to transparency and understanding of the school's arrangements and responsibilities. Copies are available in paper form from the school office. Please see below for policies available to download.

Equality and the Public Sector Equality Duty

As a maintained school, we are required to comply with the Equality Act 2010 and the Public Sector Equality Duty. We have due regard to the need to eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation, advance equality of opportunity and foster good relations.

Our Equality Information and Objectives set out how we meet these duties and the steps we take to promote equality and inclusion across our school community.

Allergy Safety

We recognise our responsibility to provide a safe and inclusive environment for pupils with allergies, including those at risk of anaphylaxis.

From September 2026, schools are subject to new statutory duties relating to allergy safety. In accordance with the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 and the Department for Education's statutory guidance Allergy Safety in Schools, the school has an Allergy Safety policy which sets out our arrangement for the prevention and management of allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

The school's named Allergy Lead is Mrs Anna Spencer who has overall responsibility for coordinating the implementation of the school's allergy safety arrangements. Our Allergy Safety policy can be found below.
