Welcome to St Mary’s Stay and Play Club. We provide a fun-filled and theme based recreational program with a variety of enriching activities which will keep your child busy, happy and safe!
We have been providing out of hours quality childcare at school since Feb. 2000. Our daily programs include: themed games, arts and crafts, drama, sports, cooking, special interest activities, snacks, a quiet reading area, relaxation and much more. The club is operated by St Mary's Church of England School and run by St Mary's staff.

‘Our aim is to provide the best possible out of school care.’

Stay and Play Breakfast Club and After-School Club benefits:

  • Peace of mind
  • Open before and after school hours
  • Safe, friendly, fun environment
  • Quality childcare ~ policies and procedures checked
  • Affordable and flexible
  • Ofsted registered and inspected
  • Stay and Play staff collect KS1 children from classrooms
The Stay and Play Club provides both pre-school and after-school care provision. Our aim is to ensure that all needs of the children who register with the Stay and Play Club are met and that the highest standards of care and welfare are available to all users of the club in accordance with Ofsted guidelines. Policies and procedures are in place to reflect the aims and purpose of the club and a copy of these will be made available to parents/carers before registration of their child.

All children aged from ‘rising 5s’ to 11 years can be registered with the Stay and Play Club, with an invitation to attend a free trial session prior to starting the club offered to all children and their parents/carers. Children from KS1 will be collected from their classrooms by Stay and Play staff.

At Breakfast Club the children will be provided with a choice of drink (milk, juice or water), cereal or toast and preserves. They will be supervised during quiet, relaxed play time until the start of school at 8.35 am. The children will then go straight to their classrooms ready to start the school day.

All activities will be of a relaxed, leisurely, artistic or sporting nature with free playtime to enjoy the wealth of games and toys that the club has to offer. The club is able to offer indoor and outdoor facilities for sports and games. It is important to the Stay and Play Club that the children have a safe environment to have fun, as well as interacting with others.

A small, healthy snack and drink will be provided for your child when they are at After-School Club.

For your child’s safety and welfare it is imperative that the Club has access to accurate and up to date contact details at all times, so please inform us of any changes immediately. This includes alternative contact numbers (should the usual numbers not be applicable for any period of time) and notification if someone other than a parent is collecting.

If your child is absent from school for any reason you must inform St Mary’s School, this will allow the Club to reallocate their place during busy sessions.
