"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young. Be an example to all believers, in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith and your purity."1 Timothy 4:12

Collective Worship

Our school community meets every day for Collective Worship.

It is a time for both reflection and discussion. Collective worship is based on our Christian values for each half term and the children are encouraged to reflect on the assembly and comment on it.

Once per fortnight, our assemblies are led by a visitor from the clergy or 'Churches Together'. These assemblies are based on Bible stories and stories that reflect the church year. We have very strong links with our local Church, Kenwyn, which is currently led by Reverend Chris Parsons. Through this, we also teach our 6 Christian values. Our RE Coordinators guide our RE Leaders as to how to decorate our Prayer Space, making it as welcoming as possible for others.  The prayer space is available for all staff and children.

We are very lucky to have lots of other visitors attend our school, including the ‘Open the Book’ team, who share Bible stories through drama.  These are mostly Old Testament stories, performed by members of the Methodist Church.

Collective Worship is an important part of our school day. At the start of term, Mrs Bray led our first two collective worships which focused on our vision, values and special verse. You can watch them below:
